Comic Movie DB began life in 2017 as a simple idea: create an honest, independent destination for comic book movie reviews, news and trailers. Over the following nine years the platform has continually evolved into a much larger entertainment hub, combining editorial content, custom features and an active community for comic fans, cosplayers and pop culture enthusiasts. The platform continues to grow through ongoing development, feature releases and UX improvements.

Creating more than a traditional news website

Most entertainment websites follow a standard blog format, making it difficult to build long-term engagement beyond individual news articles. The challenge was to create a platform that encouraged visitors to return regularly, discover new content and become part of a growing community rather than simply reading the latest headlines.
