Working closely with the San Carlo team in Manchester, Stepholt designed and developed a completely bespoke WordPress website alongside a matching mobile app experience. The project wasn't simply about creating a new website—it was about translating a refreshed brand identity into a premium digital experience whilst respecting decades of recognition that customers already associated with the San Carlo name.
San Carlo wanted to refresh its digital presence while introducing a redesigned mobile app that felt consistent across every customer touchpoint. During the design process the visual direction evolved several times, with discussions around removing the long-established teal colour palette before ultimately reintroducing elements of it to preserve the brand's recognisable identity. Because the branding was being developed externally, the challenge became interpreting and applying those assets consistently throughout both the website and mobile application while maintaining a premium hospitality experience.

One of the standout details was a bespoke loading animation featuring pasta twisting around a fork, reinforcing the personality of the brand through even the smallest moments of the user journey.
